Reed lifts New Hampshire to 57-52 win over Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Jordan Reed sank a pair of late 3-pointers -- his only points of the day -- to help lift New Hampshire to a 57-52 win over Binghamton on Saturday.

The Wildcats (9-13, 5-3 American East) trailed 50-47 when Reed got the dish from John Ogwuche and drained a 3 to tie it at 50-50 with 1:42 to play. Then, with the scored knotted at 52, he made another 3-pointer to make it 55-52 with :22 left.

Binghamton opened the second half on a 14-7 surge to take a 39-35 lead. Tanner Leissner made a jumper and a 3-pointer back-to-back midway to give the Wildcats a 41-40 edge but they went nearly seven minutes without a field goal after that to trail 48-43 with 4:45 left.

Leissner scored 20 points for the Wildcats. Josh Hopkins added nine points and Iba Camara led the team with 20 rebounds in addition to his seven points.

Tyler Stewart scored 14 points for the Bearcats (10-13, 1-7) who have lost four straight.
