Miller nets 21, UNCG sets mark in 85-72 win over Chattanooga

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Isaiah Miller scored a career-high 21 points, Eric Hamilton had a double-double and UNC Greensboro defeated Chattanooga 85-72 on Saturday.

Hamilton had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Spartans (13-2, 2-0 Southern Conference), who are off to their best start in program history. Kyrin Galloway added 14 points and Francis Alonso had 13 to help Wes Miller pick up his 125th win at UNCG, one more than Mike Dement.

Miller had 15 points in the second half on 7-of-9 shooting and Galloway 12, hitting 4 of 5, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Chattanooga (6-9, 1-1) had a nine-point lead with six minute to go in the first half but Alonso had nine points as the Spartans surged to a 37-32 lead at intermission. UNCG, which has won 17 straight at home, went 11 of 11 from the foul line and shot 55 percent from the field with five 3-pointers in the second half.

Ramon Vila had 18 points for the Mocs, who shot 53 percent. David Jean-Baptiste added 16 and Donovann Toatley 15.
