Davis leads Navy past Lehigh, 64-58 in Patriot league opener

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Cam Davis knocked down 7 of 10 from beyond the 3-point arc and scored a career-high 25 points as Navy topped Lehigh 64-58 in the Patriot League opener for both schools on Thursday night.

The loss was Lehigh's eighth straight.

John Carter Jr. had 10 points for Navy (7-5), which earned its fourth consecutive home victory.

Marques Wilson had 12 points for the Mountain Hawks (3-10). Jake Betlow added 11 points and Jeameril Wilson had 10.

Jordan Cohen, who led the Mountain Hawks in scoring heading into the matchup with 14 points per game, was held to 5 points on 1-of-11 shooting.

Navy faces Holy Cross on the road on Sunday. Lehigh plays Loyola (Md.) at home on Sunday.

Lehigh got within two points with 4:31 left, but Davis hit a jumper and John Carter Jr. hit a pair from the line and followed with a made jumper to push the lead to 58-51 and the Midshipmen closed the game out by hitting 5 of 6 from the line.
