Gresham transfers from Northeastern to Georgia

Donnell Gresham, who averaged 9.7 points and started 33 games for Northeastern last season, has transfered to Georgia and is eligible to play next season.

Kansas routed Northeastern, 87-53, cruising into the second round. The Jayhawks shot 56 percent from the field, outrebounded the Huskies by 18 and hit 8 3-pointers. Dedric Lawson, who Bill Self expected to be "our best player," had 25 and 11.

Kansas, a popular upset pick heading into the NCAA Tournament, is sending a message against Northeastern. An 18-5 run gave them a 20-point lead with just over 10 minutes left. Jayhawks have been enigmatic all season, but they're hardly breaking a sweat today.

Jordan Roland had 19 points as Northeastern narrowly beat UNC Wilmington 81-77 on Thursday night. Donnell Gresham Jr. added 17 points for the Huskies, while Bolden Brace chipped in 16. Brace also had six rebounds for the Huskies.
