New York Mets sign veteran infielder Jared Young for 1 year

The New York Mets signed veteran infielder Jared Young, a .210 career hitter with just two homers and eight RBIs, to a one-year contract Monday, adding depth at first base after star slugger Pete Alonso became a free agent this fall.
