Iowa not deep, but getting better

Never a state with an overwhelming number of FBS prospects, the 2013 class in Iowa looks to be much improved over its 2012 counterpart.

Eight prospects from Iowa are already committed to BCS programs. A few more look to be in line for at least an FBS scholarship come signing day. The 2012 Iowa class featured only six prospects who signed scholarships for an FBS program.

Iowa is the home of a number of specialty players, too, in 2013. Kicker Matt Haack is committed to Arizona State, and the state has two long snappers ranked as two-star prospects.
