Elijah McGuire, Robby Anderson among last-minute fantasy football streamers for Sunday

Each week of the NFL season, we search through each fantasy football position with an eye toward identifying widely available streaming options with positive matchups to help cover gaps in your starting lineup.

Quarterback

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Now 4-1 as the starter for the run-centric Ravens, Jackson is quietly posting prolific rushing numbers from the quarterback position. Extrapolating his past five games of production over a full season, Jackson's pace as a starter would result in 1,366 rushing yards on 275 rushing attempts over a 16-game sample. I joked last week about fellow rookie Josh Allen being an "RB1 who can throw for 200 yards," but that quip might be entirely accurate when discussing Jackson's unique statistical profile. Facing an aggressive Chargers pass rush sure to inspire some rushing lanes for Jackson this weekend, the dual-threat rookie offers a uniquely high floor for fantasy purposes in Week 16.

Running Back

Elijah McGuire, New York Jets

This week makes for an excellent time to stream and stack the Jets' undervalued skill players against the Packers. McGuire has earned 20 touches in consecutive weeks, while Green Bay rates 25th against the run in Pro Football Focus' grading and has allowed nearly 4.4 yards per tote to tailbacks on the season.

Kalen Ballage, Miami Dolphins

For those in deeper leagues, Miami's Ballage could thrive against a recently leaky Jacksonville rush defense as the early-down bruiser for the Dolphins, in place of an ailing Frank Gore. There is some risk in deploying Ballage, but it appears the team is hesitant to commit a full workload to Kenyan Drake.

Wide Receiver

DaeSean Hamilton, Denver Broncos

Hamilton has consumed a team-high 25.3 percent of the team's targets the past two weeks and is thriving from the slot as a valuable contributor in both fantasy and real life in the wake of Emmanuel Sanders' injury. The Raiders rate 30th in coverage grade on Pro Football Focus, suggesting there is some matchup upside to consider for Hamilton on Monday night.

Robby Anderson, New York Jets

With 18 targets the past two weeks, Anderson has twice as many as any other player on the Jets during that time. This represents a 30 percent stake in the team's passing game, one often reserved for true WR1 options. Most valuably, Anderson's average target has traveled a team-high 16.1 air yards during this stretch, confirming that stellar opportunity rates support his recent revival. The Packers have yielded the 12th-most fantasy points to receivers this season and 13.3 yards per reception (10th most in the NFL) to the position, with Anderson poised to continue his reprisal of last season's impressive vertical production.

Tight End

Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Rams

Targets are the coin of the realm when it comes to limited tight end options at this stage of the season. This has been an atypically brutal season for sourcing value from the tight end position, making Everett's 14 targets the past two games stand out among the sea of middling options in free agency. The Cardinals have been respectable in defending tight ends this season, but Everett's awesome usage pattern -- he leads the team by netting a catch on 15 percent of his routes these past two outings -- supports streaming interest this week.

Ian Thomas, Carolina Panthers

There wasn't much fantasy fun to be had with the way Cam Newton struggled throwing the ball against a capable Saints defense on Monday night. The positive part of an otherwise quiet Week 15 for Thomas was that he was second on the team in targets with four. Next up is a porous Atlanta back seven, setting up Thomas as a borderline TE1 for yet another week.

Defense/Special Teams

Miami Dolphins: Since Cody Kessler took over as the team's starting quarterback in Week 12, the Jaguars rank last in yards per attempt (5.36) and have just two passing scores and three interceptions. The Jaguars are tied with the Cardinals with only 0.98 points per drive during this four-game sample -- 47 percent less points per drive than league average (1.86) the past month. The Dolphins just got roasted by the Vikings' offense in both phases, revealing some real risk, but the ceiling of matching up with arguably the league's worst offense is appealing enough to inspire streaming shares for this pivotal week of fantasy postseason action. A reasonable pivot from this group would be the Colts, fresh off a shutout of the Cowboys and next facing a sputtering Giants offense.

Individual Defensive Player

Defensive Line: Denico Autry, Indianapolis Colts

Riding the hot hand, Autry has six sacks the past three games and next faces a porous Giants line in the home dome. Fletcher Cox is similarly on a productive streak, with 3.5 sacks the past three games and a choice matchup ahead with the Texans, a team that has allowed the highest pressure rate in the pocket this season.

Linebacker: Jarrad Davis, Detroit Lions

Davis didn't leave the field for Detroit's defense in Week 15, leading to nine tackles and his second straight strong fantasy performance. Davis is expected to stay busy chasing down the Vikings' talented crew of skill players, and he is an effective streaming option this week. For those in deeper formats, Philly's Nigel Bradham is available in more than 90 percent of leagues and has logged 21 tackles the past two games.

Defensive Back: Adrian Phillips, Los Angeles Chargers

One of seven defenders who played on every defensive snap for the Chargers this past week, Phillips has proved productive as the team's free safety with 24 total tackles the past three games. Phillips' tackle opportunities should only swell this week against the run-heavy Ravens.
