- Zlatan Ibrahimovic - 15' Pen
Ibrahimovic secures points for PSG
PSG made it nine successive wins in all competitions by beating Nice 1-0 at the Parc des Princes.Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first league goal since August set the defending champions on their way, his 15th-minute penalty proving enough to see off Claude Puel's side.Victory for the hosts meant they maintained pressure on league leaders Marseille, who were 2-0 winners over Nantes on Friday night, with just the one point separating the two sides at the top of the table. It was Nice who were the first to glimpse goal on seven minutes after Lucas Digne carelessly gave up possession, but Alassane Plea was unable to beat Salvatore Sirigu with his effort from just inside the area. That let-off only acted as a spur for Laurent Blanc's PSG and they hit back instantly through Edinson Cavani, whose volley from distance ended up just wide of the post before Ibrahimovic went even closer just a minute later.PSG's number 10 showed superb control to pluck the ball out of the air before swivelling and drilling a shot beyond Moez Hassen, but the woodwork was on hand to keep the scores level. The Parisians continued to press and got their reward on the quarter hour when Lucas Moura got on the end of Javier Pastore's neat pass before taking a tumble inside the area.Ibrahimovic took charge and his confident finish had just the required amount of precision to beat the diving Hassen before nestling in the back of the net.The one-way traffic continued as the half wore on and Moura had a penalty call turned down before Ibrahimovic linked up well with Cavani, whose left-footed prod failed to beat the well-placed Hassen.Nice were thankful to hear the half-time whistle with just the one goal deficit but the interval did little to stem PSG's flow with Cavani and David Luiz both having efforts at goal within 15 minutes of the restart. The visitors finally woke up with an hour on the clock but Valentin Eysseric's close-range header failed to work Sirigu before Plea saw his effort turned away by a combination of Digne and the Italian keeper following Jordan Amavi's dangerous delivery. With the game evenly poised PSG had the perfect chance to wrap up the points with 15 minutes left on the clock, but Cavani's glancing header from Serge Aurier's cross cleared the bar by a whisker.Nice hit back and Nampalys Mendy's long ball from out on the left found Amavi, but his close-range effort from a tight angle was turned away by the alert Sirigu as the visitors' chances of a leveller began to diminish.
