Rose gets Bury up and running

Danny Rose marked his second Bury debut with a goal as Hartlepool succumbed to a 2-0 Sky Bet League Two defeat.Rose, who netted three goals in six games during a spell with the Shakers last season, was recruited on an emergency loan from Barnsley on Friday. He did not disappoint, coming off the bench to help Bury to a first win of the campaign after Daniel Nardiello had put his side in front. The visitors enjoyed the better of the early exchanges and took an 18th-minute lead when Nardiello nodded Ryan Lowe's dinked pass beyond Scott Flinders. Both sides had chances either side of the break, Marlon Harewood blazing over for Hartlepool before Lowe's fine effort was tipped on to the crossbar by Flinders. The sparked Colin Cooper's men into life and they were unfortunate not to level when Harewood, in an offside position, farcically chested in a Jonathan Franks header that seemed destined for the net.The home crowd's misery was then compounded by Rose, who rounded Flinders to score in the 73rd minute after Matthew Bates' dreadful back-pass came up woefully short.
