Berwick beaten at home
Berwick were made to rue a string of missed chances as they were beaten 2-1 at home to Arbroath on the opening day of the League Two season.Paul Willis had put them in front six minutes in after Arbroath keeper David Crawford could only direct his clearance straight into the striker's path.Scott Dalziel came within whiskers of doubling the lead but his shot cannoned back off the crossbar.Crawford made sure his side went into the break only a goal behind when he did well to save a Willis shot.Arbroath had their equaliser courtesy of Kevin Buchan, who reacted quickest to a great double save from Berwick keeper William Bald. The visitors' fightback was complete on the hour mark when Paul McManus sent a curling free-kick in off the bar.
