Arbroath maintain perfect start

Arbroath top the Scottish League Two table after beating Queen's Park 2-0, making it a perfect start to the season for Allan Moore's men. They lead the way having won each of their first three games, Scott McBride putting them ahead midway through the second half before setting up substitute Jack Smith to confirm victory in added time. For Queen's Park it was another disappointing afternoon at home, having also lost there on the opening day. They lacked punch from the start although Darren Miller had an effort ruled out for offside.McBride was a threat throughout, captain Tony Quinn having to throw himself at the midfielder's 38th-minute shot to prevent a breakthrough. He eventually found the opener, tapping home from inside the six-yard box having been teed up by Simon Murray. Goalscorer then turned provider as McBride played in Smith, who finished the contest.
