Deadly Denholm lifts Loons

Danny Denholm's strike fired Forfar up to second with a 1-0 win over Stenhousemuir.Denholm cracked in his sixth goal of the season late in the second half to end the Loons' three-match winless run.Michael Travis could have given them the lead in the first half but his header was too close to visiting goalkeeper Greg Fleming, while Denholm, an early substitute, nodded wide just before the interval.But Denholm made amends when he swept home Gavin Swankie's pass from close range with 12 minutes remaining.Martin Grehan had a chance to equalise for Stenhousemuir in stoppage time but his header was caught by Robert Douglas.
