Shire hurt by shock loss
East Stirling's play-off hopes were dealt a blow by a surprise 1-0 home defeat to bottom club Montrose.Ross Campbell scored the only goal of the game as the midway-point of the first-half approached to leave the Shire five-points adrift of fourth-placed East Fife. The hosts, who had won four on the spin at Ochilview, started well and threatened early on through David McKenna, Luke Donnelly and then Kevin Nisbit - but none of the trio worked goalkeeper Stuart McKenzie. It was against the run of play when Campbell fired home from close range following a floated corner from Scott Johnston.East Stirling were unable to respond. Donnelly and Nisbit had chances and both should have done better than miss the target.
