Port Vale and Gillingham both remain unbeaten this season after battling out a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Vale Park.Gillingham took a 16th-minute after Vale goalkeeper Jak Alnwick was penalised for picking up the ball from Richard Duffy's back-pass.Luke Norris touched the free-kick to Bradley Dack on the left corner of the six-yard area and the midfielder lashed an unstoppable right-foot shot into the roof of the net.Vale came back strongly with Gills defenders Deji Oshilaja, Ryan Jackson and Bradley Garmston all booked for desperate challenges in a five-minute spell.And increasing pressure was rewarded in the 34th minute when Byron Moore chested the ball into the path of Louis Dodds who drove a low, right-foot shot from 18 yards just inside Stuart Nelson's right-hand post.Vale defender Ryan Inniss struck the crossbar at the start of the second half before the visitors began to get back into an entertaining contest.Norris and John Egan both came close but both sides tired and lost their edge in the final quarter of a game which deservedly ended all square.
