Guingamp 0-1 Lyon

Former Guingamp striker Claudio Beauvue silenced his old fans as he got the goal to give Lyon a 1-0 win at the Stade Municipal de Roudourou on Saturday.Beauvue, who swapped Guingamp for Lyon this summer, came off the bench and took advantage of a defensive mix-up to head in the winner in the 79th minute.Mustapha Diallo was inches away from giving Guingamp the lead in the 13th minute when his header was pushed on to the post by Anthony Lopes before Lyon scrambled it away.Yanis Salibur's overhead kick was blocked before Nabil Fekir bent a free-kick narrowly wide at the other end.Giungamp were doing most of the pressing as the first half came to a close, with Lyon looking dangerous only with their set-pieces.Another free-kick saw Fekir denied three minutes after the restart as Samassa pushed it away at full stretch, and the goalkeeper then did well to deny Jeremy Morel when a looping effort was clawed away from under the bar.Beauvue came on to replace Alexandre Lacazette just after the hour mark and with his first touch he saw an effort go narrowly wide as he tried to turn a deep free-kick in.But he finally broke the deadlock 11 minutes from time when Brou Angoua failed to deal with a long ball into the box and the striker was able to nod it over the exposed goalkeeper with ease. Guingamp should have levelled deep in stoppage time as Jimmy Briand was denied by Lopes and the ball fell for Mana Dembele, whose follow up was blocked on the line by Milan Besevic.ends
