McIntosh strikes late to deny Forfar and rescue point for Blue Toon
Substitute Leighton McIntosh stepped off the bench to salvage a point for hosts Peterhead in a 2-2 home draw against Forfar in Scottish League One.Midfielder Nicky Riley had put the Blue Toon ahead in the 28th minute after good interplay with Rory McAllister, giving his side a 1-0 half-time lead.But the second half was less than three minutes old when Forfar midfielder Thomas O'Brien fed Gavin Swankie, who slotted the equaliser.Forfar turned the game on its head when defender Iain Campbell fired a long-range effort beyond the grasp of home goalkeeper Graeme Smith, but McIntosh ensured his side left with something, finishing for the third time this season in the 78th minute.
