Elgin lose their marbles in Montrose
Struggling Montrose caused a big upset by dominating Ladbrokes League Two leaders Elgin to win 3-1 at Links Park.The breakthrough arrived just before half-time, as Terry Masson weaved an accurate pass through to Christopher Templeman, who applied a composed left-footed finish to beat Mark Hurst.Gary Fraser added a second after the interval. Templeman provided the ball this time, and the striker found the top corner.Adrian Mallagaray put the game well beyond Elgin five minutes later with a tap-in, courtesy of another good ball from Templeman.Neil Martyniuk put through his own goal with a misplaced header late on, but it would not spoil Montrose's day.
