Elgin ease to victory against Arbroath
Goals in either half from Craig Gunn and Brian Cameron secured Elgin a comfortable 2-0 victory at home to Arbroath.Gunn put City ahead after just six minutes and Cameron wrapped up their second successive league win with eight minutes remaining.Fourth-placed Elgin were quick out of the traps and Gunn's early right-footed finish sent them on their way at Borough Briggs. After the break Gunn almost doubled his tally but his shot came off the post and back into Allan Fleming's hands.Gunn hit the woodwork again, this time the crossbar, as Fleming continued to live a charmed life in the Smokies goal.Substitute Connor McLaren also hit the bar, diverted by a fine Fleming save, but Cameron's header made sure of the three points late on.
