Arbroath Gunn-ed down by Elgin
Craig Gunn scored twice in the opening half hour as Elgin made a sensational start to their Ladbrokes Scottish League Two season with a 3-0 win at 10-man Arbroath. The Elgin stalwart opened his account after just four minutes and then netted a penalty after Craig Wilson had been dismissed before Mark Nicolson's second-half strike ensured all three points would travel back to Moray.Arbroath, who missed out on promotion through the play-offs last season, were a goal down inside four minutes with Gunn finding the back of the net from a tight angle. It got worse for the hosts as they were reduced to 10 men when Wilson was given a straight red card in the 30th minute for fouling Kyle MacLeod, who was through on goal.Gunn doubled his and Elgin's tally before Nicolson struck from close range after 75 minutes to make sure of a comfortable win.
