Finkler scores brace as Melbourne Victory beat Central Coast Mariners

Guilherme Finkler scored twice as Melbourne Victory secured a 2-1 victory over Central Coast Mariners on Thursday to take them back to the top of the A-League table.

The opener came after 15 minutes when Oliver Bozanic backheeled into the path of Finkler, who raced through on goal before slotting home.

Within three minutes Finkler had his second of the night, this time beating goalkeeper Paul Izzo with a fine free kick. 

Matt Sim pulled a goal back right at the end of the game, but in truth the Victory had been comfortable winners.
