Torquay eased their Vanarama National League relegation fears and added to Altrincham's as goals from Luke Young and Shaun Harrad earned them a 2-0 victory.Torquay took the lead after 17 minutes when Young fired home from 25 yards for his first league goal since October 2014.Altrincham went close to levelling matters when Torquay keeper Brendan Moore was forced into a fine save by Damian Reeves, tipping the striker's shot around the post after 35 minutes.As half-time approached Young and Harrad were both denied by Altrincham keeper Tim Deasy as the home side tried to increase their advantage.Harrad extended Torquay's lead just before the hour when he guided the ball past Deasy after Nathan Blissett had flicked on and the home side saw out a comfortable victory.ends
