Serge Aurier stars as PSG defeat Inter in ICC

Serge Aurier scored twice to help Paris-Saint Germain to a 3-1 win over Inter Milan in the opening game of the U.S. portion of the International Champions Cup on Sunday.

In front of 24,000 fans at Oregon's Autzen Stadium, Aurier was on hand to fire in the opener in the 15th minute after Samir Handanovic could only parry Hatem Ben Arfa's shot into the Ivorian's path.

PSG had a chance to double their lead when Andrea Ranocchia misplayed a ball in the box, but Maxwell's looping effort fell over the bar.

Inter levelled the scored in first-half stoppage time when Lucas Moura handled the ball in the box, and Stevan Jovetic sent in a powerful penalty.

It stayed level until the 61st minute, when Layvin Kurzawa sent in a superb free kick over the wall and past Handanovic to restore PSG's lead.

As both teams made mass substitutions, Edinson Cavani came on and should have scored minutes later, only to push his shot wide despite having loads of space 12 yards from goal.

Geoffrey Kondogbia found himself though on goal in the 77th minute, but Aurier made a tackle that not only saved the goal but also forced the Inter man to leave the game with an injury.

Aurier put the game to bed with his second goal of the day, heading home following Alec Georgen's cross.
