Walsall strike late to beat Petgerborough
Two stoppage-time goals - the first one mired in controversy - handed Walsall a dramatic 2-0 victory over fellow League One play-off chasers Peterborough.Erhun Oztumer scored direct from a corner to give Walsall the lead two minutes into time added on with Posh furiously appealing for a foul on keeper Luke McGee.Posh captain Chris Forrester was sent off for leading the protests before Kieron Morris sealed the points with Walsall's second.McGee had been the star of the first half for Posh and made a fine near-post reaction save on 25 minutes to keep out Simeon Jackson's close-range flick from Jason McCarthy's low cross.Craig Mackail-Smith stung Walsall keeper Neil Etheridge's palms from an acute angle but McGee was the busier keeper and he made another smart save to deny McCarthy in first-half stoppage time.McGee got into a shoving match with his own defender Dominic Ball after the break but that seemed to wake Posh up and a 20-yard Junior Morais strike brought a wonderful low save from Etheridge. The game seemed set to peter out into a goalless draw but McGee fumbled Oztumer's corner over the line under pressure from Amadou Bakayoko in injury time. And after Forrester was sent off for berating the officials, Morris squeezed Walsall's second under McGee's body in the seventh minute of added time.
