Oscar, Hulk shine as Shanghai SIPG rout Western Sydney in ACL

Hulk and Oscar both scored in the opening 17 minutes as Shanghai SIPG breezed to a 5-1 victory over Western Sydney Wanderers in Group F of the 2017 AFC Champions League on Tuesday night.

Hulk set up three of the goals and another Brazilian import Elkeson also got on the scoresheet as the 2014 winners were put to the sword at Shanghai Stadium.

After just three minutes, Hulk headed home Zhang Wei's cross from the left. Then he set up Oscar who beat goalkeeper Jerrad Tyson with a right-footed shot.

Mitch Nichols pulled a goal back for Western Sydney three minutes later. But Shanghai SIPG wrapped up the game with quickfire goals from Shi Ke and Elkeson for a 4-1 lead at the break.

With the result assured, Andre Villas-Boas' side were in cruise control in the second half.

Shanghai joined Urawa Red Diamonds on six points from two games in Group F after the J-League oufit beat FC Seoul 5-2 in the other game on Tuesday.

Tony Popovic's Western Sydney have conceded nine goals in two AFC Champions League matches in 2017.
