Lyon fail to find breakthrough away to Nantes
Lyon were left frustrated as they failed to turn dominance into goals in a 0-0 draw at Nantes.
Bruno Genesio's men created a considerable number of chances at the Stade de la Beaujoire but the closest they came to scoring was when Bertrand Traore and Nabil Fekir each hit the woodwork in quick succession in the second half.
A pattern of Lyon putting Claudio Ranieri's side under pressure but not making the most of their opportunities began in the first half, during which Traore had a shot saved by Ciprian Tatarusanu and sent another effort wide before Ferland Mendy struck too high.
Mariano hit an attempt wide of Tatarusanu's goal early in the second half and Traore then fired against the post in the 63rd minute, with Fekir's shot connecting with the bar moments later.
Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes was called upon to make his first save of the contest in the 81st minute as he kept out a Jules Iloki strike.
