Runaway leaders Luton shrug off red card to win at Grimsby

Ten-man Luton continued their march towards Sky Bet League Two promotion with a 1-0 victory over Grimsby.James Collins grabbed the only goal of the game, within five minutes of the restart, after team-mate Jordan Cook was dismissed.He picked up two yellow cards during the first half at Blundell Park as Grimsby enjoyed the better chances.Luke Summerfield rattled the crossbar early on while Jamille Matt also dragged wide from the edge of the box.Summerfield also went close as the half-time whistle drew closer, but not before Cook had been given his marching orders.Collins grabbed the opener four minutes after the restart, and it was enough to settle the contest on a cold afternoon in Cleethorpes.He prodded home from close range after Grimsby stopper Ben Killip had tipped Luke Berry's curling free-kick against the bar.Leeds loanee Mallik Wilks was summoned from the bench for his debut, but while the home side pushed and probed for a way back, the runaway leaders underlined their title credentials.
