LA Galaxy 2-3 FC Dallas: Ibrahimovic double not enough

Despite Zlatan Ibrahimovic's two goal effort, the LA Galaxy fell 3-2 to a 10-man FC Dallas.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored two goals but the LA Galaxy still fell 3-2 to FC Dallas on Wednesday night.

The Galaxy were already trailing by three goals when Ibrahimovic, returning from a one-game suspension following his first MLS red card, rolled a shot inside the far post following a defensive turnover in the 69th minute.

Cristian Colman was sent off for Dallas in the 80th minute after an altercation with LA defender Michael Ciani, and Ibrahimovic scored his second deep into stoppage time from a volley.

FC Dallas, unbeaten in its last six games against the Galaxy, scored two goals seven minutes apart in the first half. Mauro Diaz sent a pass along the top of the 18-yard box and Ryan Hollingshead curled it inside the post in the 33rd minute. It was Diaz's seventh assist of the year.

In the 40th minute, Hollingshead passed it across goal to find Colman at the far post for a bouncing header.

Carlos Gruezo added a breakaway goal in the 66th for a 3-0 lead for Dallas, which moved up to second place in the West Conference.
