Nantes fans attempt pitch invasion, cause match delay in defeat to Le Havre

Nov 24 (Reuters) - Nantes fans attempted to invade the pitch in the final minutes of their 2-0 home loss to Le Havre in Ligue 1 on Sunday, causing the match to be interrupted.

In stoppage time, disgruntled Nantes fans attempted to storm the pitch and threw projectiles, but were stopped by riot police. Over half an hour later and after the fans were mostly cleared from the stands, the final minutes of the match were played.

Josue Casimir opened the scoring for Le Havre in the third minute, with Steve Ngoura doubling their lead in the 74th to secure all three points.

Nantes are on a four-game losing streak in Ligue 1 and sit 16th after 12 games, a relegation playoff spot.
