Chelsea stay perfect in UECL with Guiu hat trick at Shamrock Rovers

Marc Guiu scored three times as Chelsea beat Shamrock Rovers 5-1 at Stamford Bridge on Thursday to maintain their perfect record after six games in the Europa Conference League.

Former Barcelona player Guiu netted his triple before the break to set Chelsea on their way, becoming the first Blues player to score a hat trick in European competition since Olivier Giroud did it against Sevilla in 2020.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Marc Cucurella rounded out the scoring for Chelsea, while Rovers' Markus Poom briefly cut into the deficit for the visiting side midway through the first half.

In addition to their dominance in Europe's third-tier competition, Enzo Maresca's side is also just two points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League.
