St. Bonaventure wins 7th straight A-10 game for 1st time
PHILADELPHIA -- Matt Mobley scored 30 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Jaylen Adams added 26 points with five assists and four steals and St. Bonaventure beat La Salle 79-68 on Tuesday night for its first seven-game Atlantic 10 winning streak in program history.
The pair combined to go 9 of 17 from distance, with Adams hitting five 3s, and the Bonnies made 10 of 20. Mobley reached 30 points for the second time this season.
Mobley paced the Bonnies in the opening half with 18 points and Adams added 12 for a 42-32 lead. Mobley sank a 3-pointer and Courtney Stockard went coast-to-coast for a dunk to put the Bonnies in control at 67-56 with 7:22 left.
Stockard finished with 10 points for St. Bonaventure (19-6, 9-4), which has sole possession of second in the A-10.
Saul Phiri scored 22 points with five 3-pointers and Pookie Powell added 15 points for La Salle (10-16, 4-9).
