St. Francis (BKN) starts fast to down C. Connecticut
NEW YORK -- Rasheem Dunn scored 21 points and Jagos Lasic scored 16 and St. Francis (BKN) beat Central Connecticut 77-60 on Thursday night.
Jalen Jordan started with a pair of 3-pointers between a layup and jumper from Dunn to put the Terriers up 10-2. St. Francis then rained 3s from Lasic, Josh Nicholas, Chauncey Hawkins and two from Dunn and the lead was 25-10.
St. Francis led 43-29 at halftime, and out of the break, went on a 10-2 run to push the lead to 22 (53-31) when Glenn Sanabria made 2-of-3 free throws.
Jordan added 13 points for St. Francis (6-11, 3-2 Northeastern Conference), which snapped a two-game losing streak.
Tyler Kohl scored a career-high 28 points on 11-for-18 shooting with eight rebounds for Central Connecticut (8-10, 1-4). Deion Butte scored 14 points and missed just one shot with a 4-of-5 performance from the field and made all six free throws.
