Rider beats Quinnipiac 74-59 for 6th straight victory
HAMDEN, Conn. -- Stevie Jordan had 18 points and six assists, Dimencio Vaughn added 16 points with four steals and Rider beat Quinnipiac 74-59 on Sunday for its sixth straight victory.
Rider (17-7, 10-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) sits alone atop the conference with Canisius (9-2) and Iona (9-3) on its heels.
Frederick Scott chipped in 15 points and Tyere Marshall had 10 points and eight rebounds for Rider, which holds an 11-2 lead in the series. The Broncs' last six-game winning streak came in the 2014-15 season.
Jordan made four of his six shots in the first half and scored 10 points to help Rider build a 40-29 lead.
Cameron Young led Quinnipiac (9-15, 6-6) with 18 points. Jacob Rigoni and Chaise Daniels each added 12. Six of Quinnipiac's nine first-half field goals were from 3-point range. The Bobcats finished with nine 3-pointers and hit 20 of 51 shots overall.
