Jacksonville rallies to beat Kennesaw State 65-58

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- JD Notae, Devin Harris and Jace Hogan scored 14 points apiece and Jacksonville rallied with a big second half to beat Kennesaw State 65-58 on Thursday night to win its third straight.

Harris had eight assists and the Dolphins (8-11, 2-0 Atlantic Sun) made 26 of 59 field-goal attempts (44.1 percent) while holding the Owls to 33.3 percent shooting.

Jacksonville used a 10-0 run capped by Antwon Clayton's jumper and Harris' layup to tie the game at 41, but Jordan Jones' free throw put the Owls back on top with 12:07 left.

Harris hit a go-ahead free throw and the Dolphins pulled ahead 60-52 on an 11-5 run capped by Tanner Rubio's 3 with 3:05 left and the Owls got no closer than five from there.

Tyler Hooker's layup put the Owls up 12-6 and Nick Masterson's free throws made it 22-14 with 5:36 left in the first half. Hooker capped an 8-3 run with a layup and Kennesaw State and led 32-25 at halftime.

Hooker scored 16 points and Jones had 14 for the Owls (4-13, 0-2), who have lost two straight.
