Idaho State hits 19 3-pointers, routs Bethesda 115-60

POCATELLO, Idaho -- Gary Chivichyan scored 18 points and Idaho State made a program-record 19 3-pointers in a 115-60 rout of NCCAA-member Bethesda on Monday night.

Chivichyan made 6 of 9 from long range. Balint Mocsan scored 17 points and Jared Stutzman added 16 for the Bengals (2-2), who took a school-record 45 3-point shots. The 115 points also tied for fifth all-time at Idaho State.

Chidi Udengwu added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Bengals. Alonzo Walker also had a double-double, posting 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Ian Fox scored 19 points and Mehran Nazarian had 12 to lead Bethesda, which shot just 32 percent (21 of 65) from the field.

Idaho State jumped out to a 12-3 lead, all on 3-pointers, and built a 55-33 halftime advantage. The Bengals stretched their lead to 57 points late in the second half.
