St. Francis Brooklyn routs D-III Medgar Evers 92-42

NEW YORK -- Stevan Krtinic scored 15 points off the bench to help St. Francis Brooklyn roll to a 92-42 victory over Division III Medgar Evans on Wednesday night in a season opener.

Starters Jalen Jordan, Rosel Hurley and Glenn Sanabria had 14 points apiece for the Terriers, who opened their season at home for the first time since 2009. Deniz Celen chipped in 10 points and Christian Rohlehr had a game-high 12 rebounds.

The Terriers shot just 26 of 42 (62 percent) from the line but outrebounded Medgar Evans 60-35.

Freshman Justin Sutton led the Cougars with 10 points on 5-of-17 shooting.

Krtinic made three 3-pointers in a span of two minutes to give St. Francis a 30-6 lead midway through the first half. The Terriers built a 46-17 halftime lead and cruised from there.

It was just the second meeting and the first since 1988 between the schools.
