CONWAY, S.C. -- Alex Hicks registered 15 points and eight rebounds as Troy topped Coastal Carolina 74-67 on Saturday.

KJ Simon had 12 points for Troy (12-18, 5-13 Sun Belt Conference), which ended its six-game losing streak. Davion Thomas added 11 points. Darian Adams had 10 points for the visitors.

Zac Cuthbertson had 19 points for the Chanticleers (15-15, 9-9). Ebrima Dibba added 14 points. Tommy Burton had 13 points.

Devante Jones was held to six points despite entering the matchup as the Chanticleers' second leading scorer at 14 points per game. He was 0 of 4 from behind the arc.

The Trojans evened the season series against the Chanticleers with the win. Coastal Carolina defeated Troy 88-75 on Jan. 3.
