Ozier leads Sacred Heart past Presbyterian 83-57

HAMDEN, Conn. -- Koreem Ozier scored 21 points and Jare’l Spellman posted a double-double as Sacred Heart routed Presbyterian 83-57 on Friday.

Ozier knocked down 7 of 13 shots from the floor for the Pioneers (2-3), who shot 51 percent for the game and made 13 of 14 free throws. Spellman added 10 points and 11 rebounds and eight blocked shots. E.J. Anosike pitched in with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Aaron Clarke contributed 14 points, five rebounds and four assists off the bench.

JC Younger had 12 points on four 3-pointers to pace the Blue Hose (1-4). Reserve Kody Shubert added 11 points, while Michael Isler and Cory Hightower both scored 10.

Presbyterian shot 35% from the floor, 29% from distance (7 of 24) and was outrebounded 43-31.
