MACON, Ga. -- — Ross Cummings had a season-high 25 points as Mercer beat Samford 89-82 in double overtime on Monday night in a game that featured a pair of last-second heroics before the Bears broke away in the last 90 seconds.
Samford's Jacob Tryon hit a fade away jumper as time ran out at the end of regulation, tying the game at 59. Neftali Alvarez made three free throws with 1.6 second left in the first overtime to tie the game at 72.
