LOWELL, Mass. -- — Max Brooks had 17 points to lead UMass Lowell to a 78-65 win over Long Island University on Tuesday night.
Brooks also contributed seven rebounds for the River Hawks (7-3). Quinton Mincey scored 14 points while going 5 of 10 from the floor, including 0 for 4 from 3-point range, and 4 for 5 from the line, and added eight rebounds. Brayden O'Connor shot 5 for 9 (0 for 3 from 3-point range) and 3 of 3 from the free throw line to finish with 13 points, while adding eight rebounds.
