LOWELL, Mass. -- — Yuri Covington scored 22 points as UMass-Lowell beat Binghamton 87-80 on Thursday night.
Covington shot 8 for 13, including 4 for 9 from beyond the arc for the River Hawks (18-7, 9-3 America East Conference). Max Brooks scored 20 points while going 5 of 8 and 10 of 10 from the free throw line, and added 10 rebounds and five blocks. Quinton Mincey had 20 points and was 6 of 10 shooting, including 4 for 6 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 5 from the line.
