Princeton defeats Columbia 84-70
PRINCETON, N.J. -- — Caden Pierce scored 19 points as Princeton beat Columbia 84-70 on Friday night.
Pierce also contributed five rebounds and five assists for the Tigers (22-3, 10-2 Ivy League). Blake Peters scored 17 points while shooting 5 for 7 from beyond the arc. Dalen Davis had 16 points and was 6 of 9 shooting (4 for 6 from 3-point range). The Tigers extended their winning streak to seven games.
Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa led the Lions (13-12, 4-8) in scoring, finishing with 19 points and two steals. Zavian McLean added 14 points for Columbia. In addition, Josh Odunowo had 10 points.
Both teams next play Saturday. Princeton hosts Cornell and Columbia plays Pennsylvania on the road.
