Morehead State wins 69-57 over Eastern Illinois
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- — Riley Minix scored 26 points as Morehead State beat Eastern Illinois 69-57 on Saturday night.
Minix had 10 rebounds for the Eagles (20-5, 11-1 Ohio Valley Conference). Kalil Thomas added 14 points while finishing 4 of 6 from 3-point range, and he also had seven rebounds. Zach Iyeyemi had 12 points and was 3 of 4 shooting and 6 of 9 from the free throw line. It was the seventh win in a row for the Eagles.
Kyndall Davis finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and four steals for the Panthers (11-14, 5-7). Corey Swayer Jr. added 13 points and two steals for Eastern Illinois.
Both teams play again on Thursday. Morehead State visits Little Rock and Eastern Illinois hosts Southeast Missouri State.
