Williamson scores 15, leads Towson over William & Mary 67-56 in CAA Tournament

WASHINGTON -- — Dylan Williamson scored 15 points to lead No. 5 seed Towson past 13th-seeded William & Mary 67-56 on Saturday in the second round of the Coastal Athletic Association Tournament.

Towson (19-13) will face No. 4 seed UNC Wilmington (21-9) in a quarterfinal on Sunday.

Nendah Tarke scored eight points in the first half and Towson went into halftime trailing 30-29. Towson pulled away on a 25-3 run for a 63-47 lead with 3:03 left. Williamson scored 12 second-half points.

Williamson shot 3 of 8 from the field, including 3 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 6 for 6 from the line. Tarke added 14 points, eight rebounds and three steals for the Tigers. Tomiwa Sulaiman had 12 points and finished 5 of 7 from the field.

Gabe Dorsey led the Tribe (10-23) in scoring, finishing with 18 points. William & Mary also got 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists from Chase Lowe. Trey Moss finished with 11 points. The Tribe prolonged their losing streak to 10 straight.
