BALTIMORE -- — Drayton Jones had 20 points in South Carolina State's 86-72 win over Morgan State on Saturday night.
Jones had six rebounds for the Bulldogs (7-9, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Davion Everett scored 18 points while shooting 6 of 8 from the field and 6 for 9 from the free-throw line and added eight rebounds. Omar Croskey shot 6 for 9 (2 for 4 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line to finish with 17 points.
Kameron Hobbs led the Bears (6-11, 0-1) in scoring, finishing with 22 points and two steals. Morgan State also got 12 points from Daniel Akitoby. Will Thomas also had 11 points and four assists.
