Davis, Alonso lead new Mets past Nats 11-8 for 2-0 start

J.D. Davis delivered a tiebreaking two-run single in the eighth inning and rookie Pete Alonso contributed three hits and two RBI as the new-look New York Mets improved to 2-0 with an 11-8 victory over the Washington Nationals on Saturday.
