Devin Carter scores 30 as Kings cruise past Remix

Devin Carter paced the Stockton Kings with a double-double as they defeated the Rip City Remix 129-100 on Tuesday night at the Chiles Center in the final game of the NBA G League Tip-Off Tournament for both teams. The victory kept Stockton's hopes alive for a spot in the upcoming Winter Showcase tournament, while the Remix were eliminated from contention.

Carter led the charge for the Kings (9-5) with a dominant all-around performance, finishing with 30 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Daeqwon Plowden was also a major contributor, scoring 26 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including four 3-pointers. The Kings' offense was efficient throughout the contest, shooting 48% from the field and 44% from 3-point range. Jon Elmore orchestrated the offense with 18 points and nine assists, while DaQuan Jeffries added 12 points and seven rebounds. Dylan Cardwell controlled the paint, grabbing a game-high 15 rebounds to go with his eight points. Stockton's control of the game was evident as it outrebounded Rip City 58 to 38.

For the Remix (8-6), Sean Pedulla provided a spark off the bench with a team-high 23 points, connecting on five 3-pointers. Javonte Cooke followed with 22 points, and center Yang Hansen contributed 14 points and six rebounds. Despite Pedulla's efforts, the Remix struggled collectively from long distance, shooting just 10-for-43 (23.3%) from beyond the arc. Dillon Jones filled the stat sheet with six points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in the loss. The Kings pulled away by ending the first half on an 11-0 run and starting the third quarter with an 8-2 run, building a lead that the Remix could not overcome. With the loss, Rip City will not qualify for the main Winter Showcase tournament but will participate in consolation games in Orlando, Florida.
