Johnson's career-high 29 points leads Skyhawks past Blue Coats 139-113
The College Park Skyhawks defeated the Delaware Blue Coats 139-113 on Wednesday night at Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia. The Skyhawks set a new season high with 41 assists on 52 made field goals and had seven players score in double figures to secure the victory.
Kobe Johnson led the offensive outburst for the Skyhawks (4-7), setting a new career high with 29 points on 12-of-19 shooting, including four 3-pointers. Malik Williams dominated inside, securing his 11th double-double of the season with 25 points and a game-high 19 rebounds, adding four blocks and four steals. Point guard RayJ Dennis orchestrated the offense and recorded a double-double of his own, with 24 points and 13 assists. Caleb Houstan contributed 14 points and five assists, and Dwight Murray Jr. provided a spark off the bench with 13 points and nine assists. MJ Walker and Javan Johnson also finished in double figures with 11 points each for College Park.
The Blue Coats (5-5) were led by MarJon Beauchamp, who scored a team-high 28 points and hit five 3-pointers to go along with seven rebounds and five assists. DeAndre Williams posted a strong performance with a double-double, contributing 27 points on an efficient 11-of-17 shooting and grabbing 11 rebounds. Johni Broome scored 17 points, including three 3-pointers. Malcolm Hill added 13 points, and Kennedy Chandler finished with 12 points and a team-high six assists.
