The Mexico City Capitanes defeated the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 139-102 on Wednesday at Mexico City Arena.

James Bouknight led the charge for the Capitanes (10-2), scoring 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting, including five 3-pointers, while also grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out four assists. Boo Buie also impressed, finishing with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Andersson Garcia recorded a dominant double-double with 20 points and a game-high 18 rebounds, seven of which came on the offensive glass. Wade Taylor IV added 16 points and seven assists, while LJ Figueroa and RJ Melendez added 14 and 13 points, respectively. 

For the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (5-5), Daishen Nix led the team with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the loss. Isaiah Crawford contributed 21 points and six rebounds, and Tyler Smith scored 18 points in 24 minutes of action. Tristen Newton added 13 points, while Cameron Matthews facilitated the offense with a team-high seven assists to go along with his seven points and four rebounds. Despite their efforts, the Vipers struggled to keep pace with Mexico City's high-powered attack.

The game was tight after the first quarter, with the Capitanes holding a slim 28-27 lead. However, Mexico City broke the game open in the second period, outscoring Rio Grande Valley 35-17. The victory kept the Capitanes undefeated at home this season, improving their record in Mexico City to 8-0.
