Kyle Mangas helps Spurs rally past Go-Go for sixth straight win

Kyle Mangas scored 24 points, and the host Austin Spurs rallied past the Capital City Go-Go 110-103 on Thursday for their sixth consecutive victory. The Spurs overcame a 10-point third-quarter deficit to secure the win in the first of a two-game set between the teams.

Jayden Nunn had 23 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists off the bench for Austin (7-4). Donovan Williams added 18 points, including four 3-pointers. Harrison Ingram finished with 11 points, a game-high 16 rebounds, and 7 assists. Stanley Umude, Elfrid Payton, and Tre King each finished with 10 points.

Keshon Gilbert had a game-high 27 points along with 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the Capital City Go-Go (7-5). Skal Labissiere finished with 20 points and eight rebounds. Leaky Black and Nolan Hickman each contributed 15 points. Jonathan Pierre scored 12 points, hitting four 3-pointers off the bench.

Capital City took a 60-59 lead into halftime after a back-and-forth first half. The Go-Go extended their lead to as many as 10 points in the third quarter before Austin mounted a comeback. The Spurs outscored the Go-Go 26-16 in the final period, building an 11-point lead late in the game. Capital City cut the deficit to four in the final minute, but Austin held on.
