Harrison Ingram's double-double leads Spurs past Wolves
The Austin Spurs defeated the Iowa Wolves 135-120 on Wednesday night at Wells Fargo Arena, with seven players finishing in double figures to help secure the road victory in the second game of a back-to-back set between the two teams.
Harrison Ingram led the way for the Spurs (12-7) with a strong all-around performance, recording 25 points and 10 rebounds. Ingram shot 10-for-14 from the floor, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range, and added six assists and three steals. Stanley Umude contributed 20 points and five rebounds, and Kyle Mangas scored 18 points, knocking down four 3-pointers. Jayden Nunn added 16 points and six assists. In the frontcourt, James Banks III finished with 10 points and a team-high 13 rebounds, including six on the offensive end. Adam Flagler and Trey McGowens provided scoring off the bench with 14 and 11 points, respectively.
The Wolves (13-9) were led by Terrence Shannon Jr. off the bench. Shannon finished with a game-high 36 points on 10-of-15 shooting and was 9-for-9 from the free throw line. Jules Bernard finished with 25 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Bernard also was 9-for-9 from the free throw line. Point guard Jalen Crutcher added 18 points, going 4-for-5 from beyond the arc, and had seven assists. Center Rocco Zikarsky anchored the paint, tallying 15 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks before fouling out. Nate Santos chipped in 11 points.
